From Printing to Planting

It’s a great first step to print on seed paper, but it’s what you do with it afterwards that really counts.

Over the past twelve months our team has made an intentional effort to print on seed paper as much as possible. For items not used repeatedly (think name badges, branded content, signage, etc), we’ve opted for seed paper printing and saved it for a special Spring initiative.

This week, we partnered with the team at Sustainable Waterloo Region to plant our seed paper in a space adjacent to a microforest right here in our very own backyard. With a few hours of team work (such a wonderful team building activity!) our event printing transformed into the beginning of a wildflower garden in the yard of an elementary school.

A simple changes to our printing practices and aligned partners allowed us to provide beauty, shade, and environmental benefits to our community (all while saving on regular paper!).

Stay tuned for progress updates- we’ll be visiting and watering frequently!

When you choose a WholeHearted program, you choose to support female-owned, small business, and many social and environmental efforts along the way. Thank you for allowing us to do more good ❤️
