A Kick-Off Meeting with Purpose
Company B, a global software enterprise, started the year with a theme of wellness. Looking at this value holistically, we shared the belief that well-being at work encompassed much more than just healthy habits. It included mindset, career development, positive relationships, financial security, community, and purpose.
After many months apart, this team planned to come together safely for their in-person kick-off meeting starting the agenda with a moment of self-care.
Guests arrived and were greeted with personalized PPE kits, an outdoor space to catch up over coffee, and a socially distanced space to participate in a mindful yoga class hosted by a local, female-owned yoga studio. They were given time to refresh, enjoy brunch, and have a casual meeting in this beautiful, inspiring setting.
Following the class, the yoga mats (purchased brand new for this group) were sanitized and donated to a local resource centre for young pregnant & parenting women, and for each attendee, a donation went to the Yonge Street Mission, another local organization important to this group that supports individuals, youth, and the elderly experiencing chronic poverty.

Massey Centre and Humewood House are thrilled to announce that we are now working together as one organization. We believe that by working together, we will have a deeper capacity to improve the experience and outcomes for the clients and families we serve.
Here is what this news means to you and the community:
- Through amalgamation, Massey Centre will become the largest Young Parent and Infant Agency in Ontario. This brings us closer to reaching our objective of becoming a Centre of Excellence for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health.
- We have brought together a variety of evidence-based programs for young moms and children, giving more options to young moms and allowing for seamless transitions between programs and housing options.
