Our recent workshop exercised a new set of muscles for me. Authentic Impact wasn’t just about doing, it was about teaching. It was about gathering like minded people, identifying what matters to us, prioritizing what matters to our businesses, and aligning our initiatives to maximize impact (for all), hence the nickname the WholeHearted Factor.
This session was intentionally designed not only to share statistics and best practices but to share experiences and learnings, and provide attendees with an opportunity for brainstorming and idea generating.
My hope was that each and every participant left with tangible takeaways and the power to do more good, no matter what their role within their company. I can’t wait to see how they put it into action ✨
Here’s what attendees had to say:
“My biggest takeaway was that incorporating CSR activities into events can be scaled as small or as large as we want, as long as they create a meaningful impact for participants and bring good to the host city”.
“As event planners, we are still being way too humble about what we do! I also know that, with more data and the right words, we can continue to influence and educate our stakeholders”.
“I thought the workshop was amazing, especially the part where our tables discussed why we love events, why we’re good at them, and what we should be paid for… I really enjoyed the unique spin on that section and felt it helped me connect deeply with my table on why we’re all in the industry today. Please keep doing this”.
“Thank you so much for inviting me to the workshop! I really enjoyed the content shared and the ideation session. I got a lot from being able to connect with the real-life example shared as well as hearing perspectives from others. Your workshop not only reinforced some of the practices I already try to keep in mind, but it also gave me new ideas about how I can be more intentional and mindful about weaving CSR into events moving forward. I truly appreciate the opportunity to learn from you and your team, and I look forward to exploring ways to apply these insights in my own work.”
Julia Scullion, thank you for being a fabulous cohost and for nerding out with me on all things good.
