We talk often about full circle moments at WholeHearted – the excitement and delight that comes with being connected with like-minded and like hearted people, or having the opportunity to make an impact in more ways than one. We recently shared the story of our newest team member Sara, you can read that here. And today, we’re sharing the story of an attendee at a recent tradeshow where we hosted an activation.
In the Spring of 2024, during the GBTA conference, WholeHearted hosted a market set inside the GBTA lounge where attendees could assemble kits in support of two local women’s shelters. These initiatives hold a special place in our hearts as they provide essential support welcomed with open arms by those in need.
One attendee pulled me aside to share a touching moment throughout the experience. They recounted spending time at one of these shelters with their mother at a point in their childhood. Overwhelmed with emotion, they explained how meaningful it was for them to now contribute by packing a kit for a woman in need at the very shelter they once stayed. By day’s end, both shelters received 125 fully packed kits, ready to make a difference to 250 women arriving in their care.
It was a profound full-circle moment, and I felt honored that they chose to share it with me. These are the moments that deeply resonate with us as a team, reaffirming the significance of our work. Knowing that it impacts others and brings purpose and meaning back into their lives fills us with immense pride.
